Creek Day School is a warm, play‑based early childhood program where curiosity leads the way and every child is known, supported, and celebrated. Since 1973, Creek has been a place where families feel at home and children grow with confidence, joy, and connection.

Our classrooms are intentionally designed to nurture creativity, curiosity, and joyful learning. We guide children with respect, connection, and emotional safety—helping them navigate big feelings and learn how to be part of a caring community.

Creek Day School is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of families. We create a warm, supportive environment where children learn and grow at their own pace.

We welcome all cultures, identities, and traditions, ensuring every child sees themselves reflected in our classrooms. Creek is Wisconsin State Licensed, City of Madison Accredited, and YoungStar 5‑Star Rated.

Our History

Creek Day School began in 1973 as a small program serving families in Ridgewood Trace. In 1975, Creek became an independent non‑profit guided by a Board of Directors, and in 1978 moved to our current home on McDivitt Road.

Over the decades, Creek has remained committed to high‑quality care—earning City of Madison accreditation in 1980 and continuing to evolve while staying true to our play‑based roots.
